That Place, Papier Mache, 13/13 centemeters.
'That Place' takes its title from a euphemistic term used in rabbinic literature to refer to the vulva — a linguistic strategy that simultaneously acknowledges and conceals the female body. Drawing on this coded language, the work addresses how intimacy, sexuality, and female corporeality are rendered indirect, unnamed, and displaced within religious and legal texts. Through a small-scale, materially charged form, the piece makes visible what tradition seeks to obscure, transforming euphemism into presence. By materializing “that place,” the work challenges mechanisms of concealment while remaining in dialogue with the textual systems that produced them, exposing the tension between regulation, desire, and embodied knowledge.
this sculpture was shown in the exhibition 'SEX jewish positions' in jewish museums in Berlin and Amsterdam
