Acrylic on Canvas, 70/50 centimeters.
'Peering from the Cracks' draws its title from the Song of Songs, invoking hidden desire and the tension between concealment and revelation. The work depicts an owl emerging from the shadows of a trees fractured surface , a metaphor for the lingering presence of sexual trauma within the subconscious. Through layered textures, earthy tones, and the sense of the figure both revealed and obscured, the painting explores how trauma can inhabit hidden spaces, quietly observing, shaping perception, and resisting full articulation. It is a meditation on survival, memory, and the persistent echoes of what is lived yet unspoken.
